In yet another example of the shocking injustice of the Iranian judicial system, it has been revealed that two Sunni men have been imprisoned for more than three years without trial.
The two men, Farzad Honarjoo and Farshid Nassari are currently both detained in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, with both of them previously spending long periods of time in solitary confinement.
Farzad Honarjee, a Sunni Muslim from Marivan, Kurdistan province of Iran, has been imprisoned without trial since May 2010. According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Farzad Honarjoo, who is now only 22, was forced to spend nearly two years in solitary confinement in the Ministry of Intelligence detention center in Sanandaj. He was then transferred to Hall 10, in ward 4, of Rajai Shahr prison, Karaj.
One of his relatives told HRANA, "Farzad was arrested in Sanandaj, and his crime was publishing Sunni books. Now it is three and a half years since his arrest, and if he was to go to court he would be acquitted. But the authorities have kept him in custody without trial."
The second man, Farshid Nassari, was arrested in October 2010 in Sanandaj. He was imprisoned in solitary confinement in Sanandaj Intelligence agency for over a year , before being transferred to Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. He has now been detained for three years without trial. His family say that he has committed no crime.

Imagine, a 19 year old youth - imprisoned, lonely and alone - in solitary confinement for TWO years... Without being convicted of any crime!
What did our Sunni brothers do to deserve such injustice?
What a cruel punishment, to be caged for no crime. Can you imagine being locked up, whilst you know you are innocent?! How many years of these brothers' lives have been stolen, and there is no one to speak up for them and no one to care!
Do not stay silent about this injustice! Raise awareness for our dear brothers - it is the least we can do.
