Six of our brothers are reportedly being held in solitary confinement in Evin prison, northwestern Tehran. They are kept in their cells for 24 hours a day, and are not allowed to leave even for a few minutes of exercise or fresh air. They are all facing execution.
They have been completely cut-off from the outside world. They are forbidden from even having contact with their families. Imagine their distress at not being able to call their own mother, who has been weeping for weeks, wondering whether her beloved child is still alive.
Two of the brothers, Sheikh Kaveh Vaisi and Mokhtar Rahimi, had been taken from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj three weeks ago, on September 29th. The remaining brothers were taken on the 9th of October.
Nobody knew about their condition or location until yesterday. We still do not know fully what happened to them during these weeks, and we do not know how they have been treated during this time.
A source informed us that the men were deliberately put into solitary confinement to prevent them from talking to anyone about their condition. Many may be questioning why the men are being forced to keep silent - what are the Iranian authorities trying to hide?
Reports say that Sheikh Kaveh Vaisi was moved to different solitary cells within the same prison. He is reportedly detained in ward 209 of Evin prison, which is run by the Ministry of Intelligence. A source informed us that the reason for this could be to separate him from the other brothers as much as possible. The bond of brotherhood between them is so strong, and the Sheikh is loved and respected by them all. Just knowing that he has been taken to a different part of the prison is enough to cause them distress at being separated.
Our six brothers who are in Evin prison are (from top left in the picture): Behrouz Shah Nazari, Shahram Ahmadi, Talib Malaki, Kaveh Sharifi, Mokhtar Rahimi and Sheikh Kaveh Vaisi.
The seventh brother, Arash Sharifi, has been separated from them all and he is currently in Kashan Central Prison, Kashan. (He is the brother in the bottom-right of the picture)
He is only 24-years old. He is the brother of Kaveh Sharifi who is in Evin prison, who he has been separated from. Arash is a political prisoner, yet he is being held in a dangerous ward with prisoners convicted of violent offences and murder.
The head of Tehran's judiciary has told the families of the men to expect a 'decision' about the execution of the brothers soon.
Our brothers were all active in promoting Sunni Islam. The only 'crime' they have committed is in speaking against the Iranian regime, and propagating Sunni Islam within their communities. They have all been tortured, and many were forced to sign 'confessions'.
Those who openly spread Sunni Islam in Iran face persecution and arrest. Numerous Sunni scholars and students of knowledge have been imprisoned and executed by the Iranian regime.

Please remember our brothers in your du'a. Please share this, so that others will become aware about the terrible situation our brothers are in.
